Unlike the common thick Shantou handkerchiefs, this type is rare, featuring delicate and soft texture of thin linen.

This exquisite item is now difficult to purchase, even at Wako and other established department stores.
It was once made in the Shantou region of China and available in Japan, but the number of artisans has drastically decreased, making this item likely to increase in value.
Filled with drawn thread work and embroidery, it is more of a work of art showcasing the artisan's technique than a mere product.

I purchased it as part of my collection.
It is suitable for formal occasions, theater performances, and Japanese attire.
