This is a pair of denim gimmick shorts with short sleeves, purchased at a vintage clothing store in Tokyo for approximately 23,000 yen. They were released between the 1990s and the early 2000s.

According to the vintage store, these shorts were sourced from Europe and are a Japan-order item by a local, albeit lesser-known, designer.

They feature a distinctive zipper detail around the mid-thigh area, allowing for opening and closing. The front and back pockets also have a zipper design, creating a unique silhouette. The knee-length hemline has a belt-type design, adding to the intricate details.

The item has an avant-garde feel, and the store owner mentioned it was a piece by a popular designer in the local fashion scene who was interested in Ura-Hara (backstreet Harajuku) fashion. They described it as an item with great potential.

They also said these are very rare denim shorts with a wonderful Mode design. They are one-of-a-kind and difficult to obtain, and the store owner had never seen them on the market. I loved them, but I'm selling them because they no longer fit. I want to pass them on to someone who will cherish them.
