Stunning Selini signed 5-Strand Celluloid Beaded Necklace. There are two shades of purple Celluloid beads and they are slightly translucent which makes the light shine through them. The necklace is 19" in. length. The flower closure clasp is gorgeous and it is stamped with Seleni and measures 1 5/8" in diameter. It is a textured gold tone finish. The ornate clasp has a hook to grab onto the other end that has a square hole opening. It has a gold tone metal petals with the purple beads as the inside of the flower. The three strands of lighter purple beads are smaller in size compared to the 2 strands of darker purple beads. The beads are plastic which keep the necklace lightweight. There were lots of high end jewelry made from plastics back then. The beads are all round and faceted so they reflect light beautifully. I'd suggest wearing it to show off the ornate clasp about half way down the length of the strand on one side. Selini jewelry is sought after by collectors.
