Dijon Duenas, also known as Dijon, from Washington State, is an SSW and producer who has collaborated with Mk.gee, Matt Champion, Charli XCX, Bon Iver, Justin Bieber, and others. This album is his first release since becoming a father. He primarily produced it with Andrew Sarlo, and BJ Burton, Henry Kwapis, Tommy King, Tobias Jesso Jr., Mk.gee, and others participated. While retaining the analog feel from the previous work, the sound stands out with a glitchy collage sense and distorted metallic texture. It's a masterpiece of current alternative R&B, evoking everything from Prince to D'Angelo's pop, R&B, and neo-soul, to the post-emo and hyperpop era, with nostalgic vocals and experimental sounds coexisting.
