The FW18 was the car Williams entered in 1996, designed by Patrick Head and Adrian Newey.
That year, Williams dominated the other teams, winning 12 out of 16 races. Damon Hill, who won 8 races, became the world champion for the first time.
That year, J. Villeneuve, who debuted with much fanfare as the previous year's American CART champion, immediately took pole position in his debut race, set the fastest lap in the final, and led until five laps remaining, making a brilliant debut.
This is a valuable model of Villeneuve's first F1 victory at the European GP in the fourth race.
