New Takuma Nakahira 1000 Photo Collection

In preparation for the "Takuma Nakahira: Return to the Origin - Yokohama" exhibition held at the Yokohama Museum of Art in 2003, a large number of unpublished monochrome prints were discovered.
Many of these photographs, some of which were shown at the exhibition, were taken in the vicinity of Yokohama, where Nakahira lived, and are believed to have been taken from 1978 to the late 1980s.
At the time, Nakahira would walk around his neighborhood, ride his bicycle, and take photographs every day at sunrise, and then develop the prints himself.
This book selects only the photographs that feature cars, or also feature cars, from those vast prints and compiles them into a voluminous collection.
This photobook attempts to interpret Takuma Nakahira, arguably one of the most unique photographers/critics in the world, through his photographs rather than words.
