THIS IS AN EDUCATIONAL LISTING to help others from getting scammed/overpaying for fake mokokos that are purchased from Aliexpress. I want to look out for others because I unfortunately purchased a fake Mokoko Close to Sweet (V1) on here from Japan Mercari (shipped by BEENOS). They are hard to differentiate real vs fake since they are hard to come by in the states so I want to help.
I see many Mokoko listings on here that I noticed are being advertised as authentic but look exactly like the fake one I received.
Here are some tips on what to look out for:
1. The head on fake Mokoko V1 are noticeably wider than the real ones and the face color is yellower
2. The bodies are also very noticeably chubbier, while the real ones are skinnier
3. Take note of limbs and hairline on the head, will look wonky
4. The color of the box. The shade of pink on the fake ones are more coral/orangey vs the real ones are light pink
5. Mokoko V1 should have the holographic sticker with two P’s on the back
