This is a US Army officer shirt made by MANVILLE in the 1940s.
Features an embroidered tag and gussets.
Although there are no markings, the heavy texture and smooth feel suggest it's likely a rayon blend.
While cotton and wool officer shirts are common, rayon ones are quite rare.
The deep chocolate brown color also gives it a fantastic vintage feel!
I'm selling it to clear out my collection, so if you like it, please consider it!

There are wrinkles typical of rayon and a general sense of wear and tear consistent with vintage clothing.
Considering it's approximately 80 years old, the condition is quite good.
