Hanon partners with Supra to design the Owen Mid 'Angels Share' sneaker, launched in July 2014. This suede edition nods to the country's Speyside region famous for its single malt whiskey with tartan lining and a 'Yellow' hue on the pigskin collar and laces. Metallic co-branding is mismatched on the heels. Ridged midsole cushioning and a rubber outsole are reinstalled underfoot for comfort and traction.
The first of the SUPRA x Hanon partnership is the Black Label Owen Mid. Referencing the whisky making legend of “The Angel’s Share”—the 2% of whisky that evaporates during the distillation process—the Black Label Owen Mid is composed of black suede with scotch-inspired malted barley accents with an additional nod to Hanon’s Scottish roots in the form a full tartan padded interior lining. In keeping with “The Angel’s Share,” the Black Label Owen Mid is an extremely limited run of 50 hand numbered pairs and will be available exclusively from Hanon and online.
