Antique Chinese blue and white porcelain lidded box with a pierced openwork lid and hand-painted dragon motifs. Traditionally used as an incense or pomander box, the pierced lid allows fragrance to escape. The form, glaze, and decoration are consistent with late Qing Dynasty to early Republic period porcelain, circa 1880–1930.
Glazed interior with light age-appropriate residue from prior use. Unglazed foot rim with felt pads added later for surface protection. Displays beautifully as a decorative accent or trinket box.
Condition: Very good antique condition with light wear consistent with age; no cracks or chips observed. The lid and base show slight decorative variation consistent with hand-painted antique porcelain and possible period replacement, a common occurrence with pierced incense boxes.
