Vintage Arnels complete 16-piece ceramic mushroom soup tureen set. Often confused with Merry Mushroom, the Arnels molds had ultra high relief detail, and no guidance was provided to painters, who used a variety of colors and decorative styles, making each set unique. This set has a psychedelic mix of lava red, dark brown and yellow drip glaze shrooms with forest green leaves on golden beige speckled ground. This rarely found complete matching set includes tureen with lid, ladle, and underplate plus six handled soup mug bowls with matching plates.
Tureen 10” H, Underplate 11.5” diameter, ladle 11.5” L. Soup bowls 6” diameter, with underplates 9” diameter. PLEASE NOTE: a few flea bite chips off high relief details and one small chip on a mug rim (see details). Otherwise very good.
