Vintage 31” Large Mid Century Handcrafted Lighted Framed Costume Jewelry ChrVintage 31” Large Mid Century Handcrafted Lighted Framed Costume Jewelry Christmas Tree. This is a framed art piece, commonly known as a vintage costume jewelry Christmas tree. This is large measuring 31” by 21”. These pieces, popular in the 1950s, are handcrafted by arranging and securing various jewelry items like brooches, earrings, bracelets and necklaces onto a red velvet background. The tree is completely filled with jewelry and not spaced out like many created which looks strange. Then holes were drilled and multi color Christmas tree lights were installed poking out from the back. It is housed in an ornate, distressed white / cream-colored frame. Works great and overall good shape especially being 70+ years old.
