■501XX 1955 MODEL
In the 1950s, when peace returned and life was vibrant, the 501 reached its completion as the representative jeans of Levi's.
Details of the time are reproduced, such as the "diamond point" Arcuate stitch using yellow thread called "banana yellow," the red tab that changed from one-sided to double-sided embroidery, the early paper patch with the copy "EveryGarment Guaranteed," and the red ear watch pocket. It is the 501XX, which can be said to be the completed form of jeans.
The characteristic is the boxy silhouette, with the waist area not fitted and the leg part cut large.
The denim fabric uses 14.2-ounce Kaihara-made red ear selvage denim, the heaviest ounce in the series, which reproduces the texture of the time.
