YUKI HASHIMOTO Oversized Cardigan

YUKI HASHIMOTO is a brand started by Yuki Hashimoto in 2019, who graduated from Kyoto Institute of Art and Design, completed a bachelor's program at the Royal Academy of Antwerp, and gained experience as an assistant at KRISVANASSCH, RAF SIMONS, and Maison Margiela. The concept is NEW ORDER. The brand pursues the creation of a new order by respecting the culture and history fashion has created through its designs.

This is the YUKI HASHIMOTO Autumn/Winter 2021 cardigan. The design reflects the concept of constructing clothing in a structural manner, similar to assembling furniture or prefabs. The metal buttons and patches on the chest evoke the influence of his mentor RAF SIMONS, while the patch designs that illustrate the production process, and the fun of visual transformations through button openings resembling destroy knits, also provide a deconstructive interpretation reminiscent of Martin Margiela's artisanal style, making this a fascinating piece. Due to its oversized nature, it can be worn unisex and suits various styles.

Although I purchased it, I haven't had many opportunities to wear it. There is some pilling overall. Please understand that this is a personal archive and vintage item.
