Unused single-breasted coat from the French Army HM Hospital Military, dating from the 1950s-60s.
This model is believed to have been sampled by Margiela in their 2021 season. (Please refer to the last two images for the Margiela version).
When you think of French Army medical coats, you probably imagine a double-breasted one, but this is a rare single-breasted type.
It has a long length and a relaxed silhouette overall.
The back belt looks great left hanging. You can also bring it to the front if you like, but it's a button-type, so you can't tighten it very much.
The fabric is linen with a crisp, firm texture.
These are becoming increasingly difficult to find, so you might regret not getting one now.
