EDWIN × Meiji Cacao Jeans.

A new project offering new value and possibilities for jeans and cacao, a sustainable initiative by Edwin, which creates a new denim culture originating in Japan, and Meiji, which continues to take on the challenge of "Meiji-like health value" under the slogan "Ideas for Health."

【Upcycling Cacao Husks】
Cacao beans are the raw material for chocolate. The husks (seed coats) of the cacao beans are removed during the manufacturing process because they worsen the texture and flavor when added to chocolate.
Meiji Co., Ltd. has focused on cacao husks, which have not been actively utilized until now, and launched the lifestyle brand "CACAO STYLE" to create new value for cacao.

【Cacao Denim】
The denim used in this project is original selvedge denim made with a yarn that blends powdered cacao husks and Japanese paper for the weft.
It is lighter and has a drier feel than regular denim fabric, and features a shiny texture.
In addition, the selvedge is a special brown x gold color that evokes the color of Meiji Milk Chocolate.

【Fit】
The base fit is the standard denim series EDS Regular Straight, exclusive to concept shops.

【Special Packaging】
Both the jeans and denim jacket use original leather labels with the CACAO STYLE logo, created specifically for this project. The labels are made of natural leather that will darken and develop a glossy amber color over time, allowing you to enjoy the aging of the leather label as well as the denim fabric.
The flasher is a limited edition design inspired by Meiji Milk Chocolate.
A chocolate-like charm with the EDWIN logo is also included.
