Vintage Handwoven Greek Wool Chair Cushions-Set of 4-Floral Round Folk Art-Pads

This set of four handwoven wool chair cushions was crafted in Athens, Greece, circa the 1970s, during a renewed interest in traditional Greek folk textile arts. Using time-honored weaving techniques, each cushion displays a central floral medallion framed by a decorative border influenced by classical Mediterranean designs. Such cushions were commonly produced by local artisans and women’s cooperatives, preserving regional craftsmanship.

The warm neutral ground accented with soft blues, greens, and terracotta tones complements Mediterranean, cottage, European country, and grandmillennial décor styles. Both decorative and functional, these cushions bring texture, warmth, and history to dining or accent chairs.

Cushion measures approx 18" diameter x 2" thick.

Good vintage condition with gentle surface wear and age-appropriate softening to the wool fibers. One cushion shows a few small brown spots; no structural issues noted, and backing fabric remains intact.
