This is a wonderful One of a Kind Rare Vintage Crystal Flake Shortening "Sweet as a Nut", "Pure as Snow" Advertising Country Store 8lb. Tin Can Pail that was Manufactured by Hodgson Oil Refining Co. Athens, Georgia.
Pail has a picture on front of a squirrel holding a nut on a tree branch in the wintertime in the country.
** Pail does Not come with lid.
This is an original item, in its original condition, Not a reproduction. It has not been repaired, cleaned or altered in any way.
Condition:
* No lid.
* Can has oxidation, paint wear, scrapes and some surface rust.
* There is a dent by the top rim on the front of the can (see photo).
* No holes in can.
Measurements:
* Height: 8.25 inches.
* Diameter: 7.5 inches at opening.
Comes from a smoke free home.
