Khadi, hand-spun and hand-woven in West Bengal, India. This is an original upcycled material made by arranging small scraps left over from cutting the khadi fabric onto the remaining fabric and sewing them on with an embroidery machine.
It's a very simple pattern, just a single piece of fabric cut across its full width. The patchwork is sewn with a zigzag stitch to match the texture of the fabric. You can use the attached string as a separate weave, or use it as a large stole or blanket.
I fell in love with it and bought it, but I haven't had a chance to wear it, so I'm offering it to someone who is looking for it.
I have only tried it on.
