Akina Nakamori is a female idol singer who represents the Japanese music scene, debuting on May 1, 1982, with the single "Slow Motion." However, there seem to have been several episodes leading up to her debut. She requested to use her real name, Akina Nakamori, instead of the pre-arranged stage name "Asuna Mori." She also wanted to choose her debut song from among three prepared tracks, preferring a ballad. To match Akina's delicate voice, a melodic ballad was commissioned from the then-popular couple Takao and Etsuko Kisugi. The staff worked together to promote Akina's idol debut. In conjunction with the record release on May 1st, a prototype single (the promotional record being offered here) was taken to various TV and radio stations in mid-March for greetings, accompanied by Akina herself. However, someone compared the record jacket to Akina and said, "The jacket photo is dark. Shouldn't it be more pop and bright?" The jacket was immediately re-photographed and replaced, and new promotional records were redistributed to each broadcasting station in late April. The first prototype jacket has a March 16th date. The new jacket's promotional record has an April 19th date. The passion Warner-Pioneer had for Akina Nakamori, completing the jacket photo replacement and distribution within a month, is still evident 43 years later. Records offer not only the enjoyment of listening but also the opportunity to learn about the turning points in a musician's life and various episodes.

The item being offered here is the first prototype white label L-1600 of Akina Nakamori's debut song "Slow Motion." It is a very rare and hard-to-find single record, known among enthusiasts as the "phantom alternate jacket." The record itself has no burns or warps, and there is almost no skipping or noise, making the audio quality good. However, as you can see in the photos, the jacket has fine wrinkles on the right side. There are also traces of stickers on the jacket. However, for a record from 43 years ago that was also a replacement version, it is rare to find it so carefully preserved without any writing, and its value is high. It is a very old item. This is a used item, offered as is. Please refrain from bidding if you are looking for a perfect condition item. Thank you.
