This model is based on the , a second line of LEVI'S 501, produced from around 1890 to 1940.

Known as "No.2 Denim," this denim has more unevenness in the yarn compared to XX, and the weave density was also looser, making it lightweight and very easy to wear, with a characteristic that it easily fades. The 201 model did not use LEVI'S original denim, but rather used commercially available fabric to allow more users to wear the 501 denim style.

Therefore, the low spinning technology of the time created a unique uneven slub appearance running in the warp direction. This unevenness was expressed by mixing several types of differently shaped yarns and weaving them together.

The base model is from 35 to 37 years ago, with remnants of the guarantee paper on the tack buttons. The pale, exquisitely yellowish indigo color is also one of the characteristics of this denim. This exquisite color was created by repeatedly researching and adjusting the number of times and time of indigo yarn dyeing. The gray selvedge from aging and fading also provides a nice accent.

The design also reproduces the 201, but the rise has been slightly deepened, and the curve of the seat has been reshaped to improve the fit. The beautiful tapered, moderately wide silhouette and light weight feel comfortable to wear.
