Eazy-E was a rapper from Compton who founded Ruthless Records in 1985 with money earned as a drug dealer. Later, he formed N.W.A. with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and MC Ren in 1987, and pursued both N.W.A. activities and solo work, releasing a solo album in 1988. After N.W.A. disbanded in 1991, he continued to work solo, while also promoting Bone Thugs N Harmony and Above the Law from Ruthless. He passed away from AIDS in 1995.
