This is steerhide tanned in Himeji, Japan, using Japanese raw leather.
This original leather achieves strong water repellency without compromising the original texture and flexibility of the leather. By permeating the fibers with a water-repellent material, it permanently repels water and dirt. The leather is embossed to resemble the fine texture of goat, making scratches less noticeable, and resulting in cowhide that is easy to match with various styles.
