【Product Description】
This item uses fabric from Kaihara, specially ordered by DENHAM. The yarn is a blend primarily of American cotton, and the dyeing uses rope sulfur dyeing to maintain the whiteness at the core of the yarn. This allows you to enjoy the contrast in color that occurs with wear and washing. The 12.5oz weight provides a comfortable feel that's neither too heavy nor too light, and the denim has a distinct firmness when worn. Furthermore, both the warp and weft threads use black yarn, and the fabric, originally a deep black, has been vintage processed in Okayama to achieve an authentic, vintage-like appearance. Unlike indigo fabrics, the "black x black" sulfur-dyed fabric is difficult to process, but the skilled artisans of Okayama have recreated the whiskers, knees, and overall fading of a pair worn daily for about 5 years, making this a truly valuable piece.
