A leather shoe factory was built in Asakusabashicho, seeking water resources from the Sumida River in the 4th year of Meiji (1871). Since then, the training of leather and shoe processing technicians has been actively pursued, and many shoemakers have emerged from Asakusa. UNTISHOLD develops and produces products in collaboration with shoemakers in Tokyo, mainly in Asakusa, who have been committed to manufacturing.
