The person at the estate sale I purchased this from said it is Horsehair but...I am not an expert on horse hair...that is all I know about it ...

It is heavy and weighs almost 10 pounds ...the backing feels like wool but just not sure...some of the pinking v cut edging is missing ....
There is a tag but I just can't make it out ...see photos

As with anything antique there are imperfections due to age and use ...there are a few bald spots mostly on the edges ...see photos ...not real noticeable unless you are looking for bald spots but they are there... overall it is beautiful
