This 5-disc box set features a carefully curated selection of Michael Franks' music from 1973 to 2011! All tracks are remastered from the original master tapes in 24bit/96kHz. Discs 1 through 3 feature selections from Michael Franks' original albums, including his 1973 debut album, with each disc themed as "POP & FUNK GROOVE," "JAZZ & EXOTIC SUMMER," and "SOFT & COOL SCHOOL," respectively. Disc 4, titled "RARITIES & PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACKS + DUETS & SOME COVERS," includes 3 previously unreleased tracks, as well as covers such as "Somewhere In The Rain (あの日にかえりたい)" from the Yuming tribute album, collaborations with Bob Mintzer and Joe Sample, and the duet "Ladies Nite" with Bonnie Raitt from the album "愛のオブジェ," among other rare and unreleased tracks, duets, and covers, totaling 16 tracks. Finally, Disc 5 features the live album 'Michael Franks with Crossfire: Live,' which was only released in Australia and Japan, in its original paper jacket format.
