US Military Genuine F-1A Flight Pants

In 1947, the U.S. Air Force (USAF) was established, independent of the U.S. Army Air Forces (USAAF).
This is an early USAF flight pant, the F-1A.
Designed for extremely cold conditions in heavy zones.
The F-1 series evolved through F-1, F-1A, and F-1B, but the plain F-1 and F-1A were relatively short-lived, with the B model remaining in service until recent years.

Features:
* Air Force blue nylon shell with quilted lining
* Suspender waist
* Includes what appears to be the original suspenders
* Rear adjuster belt
* Zippers and thick ribbing at the cuffs for easy removal
* Zippered pass-through pockets on both sides
* Standard pockets on both thighs
* CONMAR brass zipper on the front
* TALON brass zippers on both sides and cuffs
* Black tag
* Made by MONARCH, the company famous for the A-2 flight jacket

Based on the order number, this is believed to be a 1952 contract.
There is one moth-eaten spot on the right cuff ribbing, but there is no significant damage to note. There is some age-related wear and minor soiling from storage, but no tears or missing parts.
The condition is quite good.

While sizes 36 and larger are often seen, this is a good size for overpants and is not often available.
