This is a 1950s black moleskin jacket. It's a superb piece with honeycombing on both sleeves.
Back in the day, this black moleskin was worn by people of higher status than those who wore the indigo moleskin. As a result, there are far fewer of these black jackets available, and even fewer vintage clothing stores carry them, making them incredibly difficult to find.
There are two types of black moleskin: those that remain completely black and those that fade to a navy-like color. This jacket is the latter.
The tag is still attached. The size is also great, and I could comfortably wear a hoodie underneath. This is a real jackpot!
