This is an original antique 20-button Anglo concertina marked “Concertina – Made in Germany – 20 Keys,” dating to the late 1800s to early 1900s. These German-made instruments were exported to England and the United States and are still sought after today by folk and Irish music players as excellent beginner instruments.
This concertina is complete and in remarkable condition for its age. It is missing one leather strap and the other strap is only screwed to one side. The locks are broken but they are included.
• All 20 brass buttons present and functioning
• Bellows are tight, clean, and open/close properly with no visible holes or tape repairs
• Original wood ends with decorative metal corner plates intact
• Original hand strap (detached but included)
• Original fitted case with label
• Instrument produces sound when buttons are pressed and bellows are moved
