Tsubame Note, also favored by film director Akira Kurosawa, is renowned for its archival quality.
The cover design is said to have originated when a fortune teller, who happened to visit the company's headquarters, offered to create a design. The founder, Hatsusaburo, liked it so much that he adopted it. The notebook uses developed neutral Foolscap paper.
