For your consideration is a rare, complete sheet of Cinderella stamps issued for the 1850–1975 Punxsutawney Area Quasquicentennial (125th Anniversary). This commemorative sheet was printed for the local festival held from August 1–9, 1975.
Serial Number: This is a numbered collector’s sheet, marked as No. 2114 in the left margin.
Design: Features alternating rows of two unique designs: The "Weather Capital of the World" Groundhog (Punxsutawney Phil) and a Native American figure representing the area's early history and the origin of the name "Punxsutawney."
Significance: Celebrates the 125th anniversary of the Punxsutawney area. These are "Cinderella" stamps, meaning they were souvenir labels used to decorate mail or scrapbooks during the 1975 celebration.
