A nice wine decanter from The Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola Naval Airstation, Pensacola, Florida. This carafe stands 8" tall and holds 16 ounces of liquid (filled up to the neck). No chips, no cracks, no breaks, AND the colors are strong! Please review all the provided pictures and make inquiries prior to purchasing.
The NAS Cubi Point Officers Club, Republic of the Philippines, opened in 1966 and was a marvelous mix of American efficiency and Filipino hospitality. Famous for the Plaque Bar, transiting squadrons retired old plaques and commissioned new ones to commemorate each WestPac tour. The tradition of placing plaques in the O’ Club bar began during the Vietnam Conflict until the closing of the base in 1992. When the original club was closed in 1992, the thousands of plaques that adorned the walls of the club were sent to the Pensacola museum and placed as they were when the Cubi Club was closed.
