The sizes range from 1/4” up to 2.5-3” w variations in between - More will be mid range w ea mix will have more mid ranged sizes w some sm a few larger
I NEVER TAKE LIVING SHELLS so finding them intact on shore is a treat & rarer. Some have natural holes
These are from my last 5 yr collecting project! Walking the shores everyday, these are all I’ve found in 5yrs! These are some of my favorites!
Most have a glossy finish some may have be ashore a while & lost its luster a bit- you can always rub a sm amt of mineral oil on shells to help them shine, (not enough space to explain here)
Did you know Calioc Clams are named for their distinctive brown calico patterns & the name comes from fabric found in India-Just like Calico Cats Though in the Venus Clam Family they’re in a different Venus Genus
