In glass front wood case and with it's custom cherry display stand. No faults no damages and highly admired. This is an impossible amount of work to make. Highly skilled people, assumedly with japanese heritage , have hand crafted from cork wood an extremely miniature scene. I wouldn't think of ever removing it from it's case for any reason. Which brings up it's one fault. One tiny tree top has loosened since the fifties and is loose inside. No bigger than a q tip head. It floats freely and when the art is displayed upright you cannot tell that it is missing nor that there is even a piece as it is behind other things. So it is not perfect but it is perfect considering it over 60 years old. Notice in the detail photos the white painted birds in foreground. I can't imagine how they are made. Simply magical. Yes, after writing about it I'm wondering if I even want to sell it....
