The necklace is 15 1/4 inches long. For size of shells, please see photo with ruler. It has a barrel screw clasp which is typical of puka shell necklaces from the 1960s and 1970s.
These are real puka shells, not shell chips or pieces with a hole drilled in them like other necklaces being sold as "Puka shell" necklaces. Genuine puka shells are tumbled by the ocean, resulting in rounded, smooth, and irregular edges.
Natural puka shells are inconsistent in size and shape. If every shell is identical in size and shape, they are likely manufactured dups such as Puka Chips (hammered into shape, creating sharp or square edges) or Heishi (shells cut and ground into smooth, flat, round shapes, often dyed.)
