Cut Coin State Quarter
Cut Coin State Quarter Utah 2007 First Transcontinental Railroad Necklace
The Utah state quarter is a circulating commemorative coin issued by the
United States Mint in 2007 as part of the 50 State Quarters Program.
The design features an image of two locomotives coming together to
symbolize the completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad at
Promontory Summit, Utah. The inscriptions "Crossroads of the West" and
"1896," the year Utah became a state, are also included.
The reverse of
the coin features the familiar image of George Washington, the first
President of the United States, along with the inscriptions "United
States of America," "Quarter Dollar," and "E Pluribus Unum."
The 50
State Quarters Program was a ten-year initiative by the U.S. Mint to
issue a quarter representing each of the 50 states in the order in which
they ratified the Constitution or were admitted to the Union.
