Holling C. Holling, The Book of Indians (1935) Hbk RARE VG Condition

This vintage book for youth by Holling C. Holling (1900-1973), an award-winning author and illustrator of children's literature, is a rare 1st Edition hardback published by Platt & Munk in 1935. It was withdrawn from a rural Nebraska school collection and appears to have been very little used. The blue cloth cover has faded with age but is clean. There is a slight bend in the back board and some residue on the spine where a library label was removed. There is some light scuffing and corner bumping on the boards. Otherwise this book remains in great shape, with tight binding, fully intact pages that are clean and unmarked, and several gorgeous full-color plates by Holling. Smoke-free home.
