Selling a vintage hand-painted ceramic cottage-style biscuit jar with lid.
Hand-painted design of a thatched-roof cottage with a tree trunk design running up the side.
Made in Japan in a Majolica style.
Small knobs on the sides of the jar was originally designed to have a wicker or rattan handle, which is now missing/not included.
Condition: vintage piece which may show signs of wear including crazing throughout the piece. The underside of the lid and the bottom of the jar each have a "rough" patch -- not sure if part of the manufacturing process or a small chip which is not visible when lid is placed on jar.
Approximate measurements: 7" high including the lid and 7" across including the handles
