Handmade 52"×86" Mid century Mexican Sarape Saltillo, Excellent Condition

This is a very finely woven mid-century Mexican Sarape blanket. It is large, 52"×86" and would be used as a blanket, bed covering, or table covering. It has a dozen or more very bright colors but most strikingly, a dark green. It has the traditional central diamond feature which in this case, is a quite large complicated mixture of diamond shapes. There are also two bands with lesser designs. It has minor fraying to parts of the fringe on both ends.
This is mid 20th century and is all cotton, not the typical acrylic fibers used in commercial examples. The beauty in this weaving is the fineness of the cotton and the attention to craft of the weaver. This will last for many years with regular use and can be passed down to younger generations with pride.
